Alpha Course continues to be such a great tool in evangelism and discipleship for us in Lamu County and the larger Coast region. We were privileged to facilitate one in Malindi that began from 18^th -22^nd of November. The training was organized and sponsored by LULU FM, a Christian Radio stationed in Malindi, jointly with Equip & Release Africa organization lead by Dr. Silas and his wife Rahab.

Youth Pastors and Youth Leaders attended for the first three days. We thank God that several of Youth leaders gave their lives to Christ during the seminars. Many confessed later that prior to the Alpha Course, they had not really understood the Gospel.

The Malindi Pastors were the participants in the last two days. We took them through the Trainer of Trainers (TOT) Course for ALPHA, thus empowering them to go and use the tool for discipleship in their churches. This took place on 21^st and 22^nd November.  Amazingly one Pastor gave her life to Christ too!

The LORD opened our eyes to see the great need for training of Pastors and Church leaders in Malindi and we pray that the He will open doors and provide funds for more seminars and training to take place here.

In Mpeketoni, Lamu the same ALPHA Course took place from 2^nd – 7^th December. The first 3 days we ministered to the youths and we had 148 participants from different churches.  At the end of the seminar 36 of them gave their lives to Christ and several of them were Spirit Filled. The other two days we trained the pastors on how to conduct the Alpha Course in their Churches. One pastor confessed that he did not have a history of when, how and who prayed for him to get saved. Thus, he decided to re-dedicate his life to Christ with understanding. The ALPHA Course was funded by Equip & Release Africa organization lead by Dr. Silas and his wife Rahab in partnership with Charitos.

After the Youth Leaders Training, we were so encouraged to see the Youth Leaders in Hindi and Mokowe churches organize a joint youth seminar that they themselves facilitated and funded! This took place on 25^th November and more than 100 youths were in attendance. We were invited just as observers. It was amazing to say the least!

It was encouraging to see them teach just as they were taught during their training. They were able to involve the youths in different activities and discussions. We believe with the support of their Pastors, great transformation will be evident in many of our Churches on these shores.
