The second part of the Youth Leaders Training organized by Charitos Transformation Africa took place in August at Free Pentecostal Fellowship in Kenya Church in Mpeketoni (FPFK)from Tuesday 13th to Saturday 17th August 2019. The participants arrived at Mpeketoni on Monday and left on Saturday. The Youth Leaders from Hindi and Mokowe and some from far flung areas in Mpeketoni and Kipini were accommodated in the dorms at the FPFK Church compound and one couple at a Guest House in town. Those others from Mpeketoni commuted daily.

Over Forty Youth Leaders from different Evangelical Churches participated in the training. The four teachers from Nairobi who did the same training in April availed themselves again. They did an excellent work.

We have noted a great improvement in the leadership of a few youth leaders we are interacting with in Hindi. They have incorporated different methods they learnt in engaging the youths and teens during their services or gatherings. Two churches in Hindi have been organizing outings and goat-eating fellowships where they invite their friends and engage them in different activities and the study of the word after roasting and feasting on goat meat together.  They also discuss topics that interest the youths and teens e.g. relationships and use of media. Macharia a youth leader in PEFA Church told us that many of the youths who had left their church came back after goat eating.                                                                                                                                                           Mpeketoni youth leaders are also not left behind. In December several of them were able to organize different activities for the youths in their churches. One joint activity took place at the beach.

We continue to thank God for giving us opportunities to share more about our work with different people. Michael was invited to share and to preach in the Missions Month at Kileleshwa Covenant Church (K3C) Nairobi on Sunday 25th August. He had a great message on “Loving Jesus right into His Mission”. One Church elder later confessed to him that for the first time he has understood what Christian Mission is.
