Sustainable crop, livestock and poultry production
God created people to “be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Genesis 1:28, NKJV). But the fall of Adam later in Genesis 3 marred God’s intent for man. Man is the object of God’s love and He seeks to reconcile man to Himself. After man is reconciled to God through the message of the Gospel, God restores them back to His original mandate.
We come along to facilitate this transformation and to assist these communities to have food sufficiency.
“You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.” Joel 2:26 (ESV)
How We Do it
In partnership with others,
- Facilitate training of farmers in modern methods of crop, livestock, and poultry production.
- Help rural peasant farmers access certified, high yielding seeds and animal breeds according to their climatic regions.
- Facilitate training in modern methods of planting, harvesting, and preservation of grains and fruits.
- Facilitate rural farmers to acquire modern farming tools and equipment in order for them to improve their yields, and thus food sufficiency.
- Establish tree nurseries and apiaries as models for other farmers.
- Train, encourage and facilitate rural farmers to grow a variety of trees on their farms.
